OVERVIEW

STARZ is a global streaming platform offering a diverse library of original series and blockbuster films from major studios like Lionsgate and Sony. In a saturated streaming market, the brand requires a strategic visual approach that balances premium cinematic branding with aggressive, offer-centric growth marketing to maximize platform value.

GOALS

  • Design high-converting Meta static and video assets to lower CPA and scale user sign-ups.

  • Develop iterative design systems that can be applied across a vast and constantly rotating collection of titles.

  • Balance high-impact promotional offers with a sophisticated brand presence that highlights the platform's unique content slate.

STRATEGY

  • Utilized bold, provocative creative treatments to emphasize mature and sophisticated storytelling, successfully distinguishing the service from broader, family-oriented competitors.

  • Leveraged show cross-sells and curated movie scene clips within paid social to boost watch time and test engagement across diverse audience segments.

  • Implemented a "value-first" design approach, creating visual hierarchies that prioritize enticing price points and promotional messaging without sacrificing the premium aesthetic of the network.

RESULTS

  • Spearheaded creative preparation for major series milestones, including the highly anticipated final season of Outlander and Season 4 of BMF. The latter drove $1.6M+ in creative spend in a single month, resulting in the highest monthly revenue for the partnership since the contract's inception.

  • Established a library of high-performing champion formats that consistently deliver stable results at high-volume spend levels.

  • Brought a fresh strategic lens to the account, resulting in a more cohesive and recognizable market presence and driving significant growth through innovative, high-scale creative execution.
